UN Has No Authority To Recognize A State

VFI editors remind readers that the United Nations is neither a state nor a government, and therefore does not possess any authority to recognize either a state or a government. As an organization of independent states, it may admit a new state to its membership or accept the credentials of the representatives of a new government. Palestinians do not have a state and are not in a position to demand the ICC rights of statehood.Internationally accepted criteria for statehood include unified territory, the capability of responsible governance and readiness to abide by international obligations. With Judea & Samaria controlled by Fatah which continues to promote and glorify terrorism – and Gaza controlled by Hamas/Iran backed terror groups indiscriminately lobbing rockets and fire balloons into Israel's towns the Palestinians have a long way to go until they fulfill these requirements.
