Israel on Edge: Iran, Anglican Betrayal & the Death of a Political Giant | VFI News

Israel is on edge as Iran heats up again — but the biggest story this week may be closer to home: the Church of England just gave a platform to one of the most anti-Israel documents in modern church history.

This week on VFI News from Israel, Barry covers four major stories you need to know about.

First, a tribute to the late Senator Lindsey Graham — one of Israel's most steadfast friends on Capitol Hill and a true political giant — and a reflection on what his passing reveals about the alarming lack of genuine leadership in both Washington and Jerusalem, with a word from Isaiah 3:4.

Then: the Church of England's General Synod voted to "encourage engagement" with the Kairos II document — a statement drafted by Palestinian church leaders that accuses Israel of genocide, embraces Replacement Theology, and provides justification for the October 7th massacre. Barry explains why the distinction between "endorsing" and "hearing" a document doesn't let the Anglican Church off the hook — and what John 14:6 has to do with all of it.

Finally, the Iran-US conflict continues to escalate across the Gulf, and Israel is watching closely.

Friends, please pray for Israel, for those in authority, and for Barry and Batya Seigel and the entire Vision for Israel team.
