Israel Strikes Houthi Ports Across Yemen, 'Galaxy Leader' Ship

The IDF launched a major operation early Monday morning, July 7, 2025, striking three Houthi-controlled ports in Yemen—Hodeidah, Ras Issa, and Al-Salif—as well as a power station and the Galaxy Leader ship used for terrorist purposes. Defense Minister Israel Katz stated, "Anyone who raises a hand against Israel will have it cut off."

The Galaxy Leader, hijacked by the Houthis in 2023, had been fitted with radar systems to monitor Red Sea vessels. Israel claims the targeted ports were key transit points for Iranian weapons. The strikes came after Houthis resumed attacks on commercial vessels despite a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.

The UK reported that the Houthis targeted the Magic Seas vessel with gunfire and grenades before its crew was safely evacuated. The IDF said the strikes are part of a continuing campaign to dismantle Houthi terror infrastructure in response to their aggression. (JPost/VFI News)

“Heavenly Father, we ask for Your protection over all who travel and work in volatile regions. Defend Israel from all who seek its harm, and frustrate the plans of those who serve terror. May peace reign over the seas and nations involved.”
