Tucker Carlson Under Fire for Defending Notorious British Fascist

American podcaster Tucker Carlson drew sharp criticism on Wednesday, March 19, after coming to the defense of Oswald Mosley, a British fascist who held his wedding at the home of Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels in Berlin with Adolf Hitler among the guests. Carlson claimed Mosley’s “only crime” was being in opposition to Winston Churchill and that this was the reason he was arrested during World War II.

Australian blogger Nathan Livingstone refuted the claim, noting that Mosley was a committed fascist who received financial support from Benito Mussolini, maintained close ties with Nazi Germany, and led the British Union of Fascists and its paramilitary “Blackshirts”—a group known for violence and targeting Jewish communities. Mosley was arrested in 1940 because the British government viewed him as a security risk with sympathies for enemy forces, not because he was a political rival.

Carlson’s remarks came in the wake of previous statements in which he claimed Adolf Hitler did not intend to kill all Jews, while accusing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of adopting what he described as a genocidal approach toward Palestinians. Livingstone questioned whether Carlson despises Churchill so deeply that he is willing to defend a Nazi-aligned fascist or whether he genuinely views Mosley as a patriot.
