12 Wounded in Attack on Pro-Israel Hostage Event in Boulder, Colorado, Including Holocaust Survivor

FBI personnel and local police are investigating a potential terror attack in Boulder, Colorado that occurred at an event raising awareness for the Israeli hostages.

On Sunday afternoon, June 1, a man threw Molotov cocktails and used an improvised flamethrower to target participants of a weekly walking group that raises awareness for the hostages in Hamas captivity.

Local police reported that 12 people were burned, with the victims aged between 67 and 88. Their injuries range from very serious to minor.

One of the victims is a Holocaust survivor.

An eyewitness said that one woman was so badly burned that her hair caught fire. Another said she saw people strip and roll on the ground to put the fire out.

Children were among those injured. All of the victims were taken to nearby hospitals, and at least one person is in critical condition.

The main suspect, a 45-year-old Egyptian citizen who previously applied for asylum in the US, admitted to planning the attack for a year. He was charged with a federal hate crime.

In videos of the attack circulated on social media, the suspect is seen shouting “End Zionists” and “Palestine is free” while holding bottles containing clear liquids.

Authorities confirmed that the attacker was not acting on behalf of any wider terror group. (JP/VFI News)

“Dear God, we cry out for Your protection over every Jewish person around the world. Comfort the victims of this vicious attack and bring swift justice to the perpetrators. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and may healing, forgiveness, and restoration come through Your Spirit. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.”

The FBI is actively investigating a terror attack against a pro-Israel march in Boulder, Colorado, as potential domestic terrorism. The suspect’s methods and statements indicate premeditation and ideological motivation.

Authorities have arrested a 45-year-old suspect who had expressed violent anti-Zionist views and said he had planned the attack for more than a year.

The attack left 12 people wounded during a peaceful event advocating for the return of Israeli hostages. Victims included a Holocaust survivor and several elderly community members. (FN/VFI News)

“Lord God, we ask that You heal the wounded and traumatized in Boulder. Protect Your people, both in Israel and around the world, from hatred and violence. Let Your justice prevail against those who seek to harm, and may Your peace reign in every heart, replacing fear with hope. In Yeshua's Name we pray.”

U.S. Vetoes UN Ceasefire Resolution Amid Gaza Aid Controversy

Fourteen nations voted on Wednesday, June 4, at the United Nations Security Council for a demand for a ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian terrorists Hamas and humanitarian access across Gaza, where aid has trickled amid chaos and bloodshed after Israel lifted an 11-week blockade on the enclave.

The United States vetoed the decision. "The US refusal of the resolution should not surprise you," said Acting Ambassador Dorothy Shea.

"The US made it clear that it would not support any effort that does not condemn Hamas. We cannot allow the Council to reward Hamas terrorism."

"The decision presented today was a gift to Hamas and a significant boost to terrorism," said Ambassador Danny Danon.

"You chose appeasement and surrender. You chose a path that leads to more terrorism. This decision sends a dangerous message to Hamas: reject every proposal, and the international community will reward you. Hold hostages – and the UN will legitimize you."

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated: "Thank you, America and Donald Trump, for once again showing our enemies that there is no daylight between us. That is the only way to destroy the Hamas terrorists who are still holding 58 innocent hostages in the dungeons of Gaza. The civilized world should demand their immediate and unconditional release." (TOI/VFI News)

Palestinians Shocked U.S. Aid is Free, After Being Charged by Hamas for U.N. Aid

Palestinians picking up food packages from the Trump administration-backed American alternative to the United Nations in Gaza were reportedly shocked the aid was free, having become used to being charged for it.

The new Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) was launched to provide an alternative to the UN, which either fails to deliver trucks of aid or allegedly lets Hamas steal the supplies.

Hamas then keeps the aid (especially fuel) for itself, sells the aid on the black market, or makes Palestinians pay inflated prices for it.

Receiving free aid was a new phenomenon: one man who picked up a food box asked four or five times if the food was really free. It illuminated their perspective on aid and the aid distribution they had experienced in the past. Videos of Gazans waiting in line to receive food boxes show people waving and cheering.

Critics of Israel condemned the American operation, which is designed to enable Israel to undermine Hamas’ authority in Gaza while the Israel Defense Forces continues clearing out the terrorist group. (BB/VFI News)

Hamas Commander Who Led War's Deadliest Attack on IDF Troops Killed in Drone Strike

A Hamas commander who led the deadliest attack on Israeli troops in the Gaza Strip amid the war was eliminated in a drone strike over the weekend, the military and Shin Bet announce.

The IDF says Khalil Abed al-Nasser Mohammad Hatib commanded a Hamas cell in the terror group’s Maghazi Battalion, which carried out an RPG attack against troops operating near the Israeli border on January 22, 2024.

The RPGs hit two buildings that had been rigged up for detonation and a tank guarding the forces, killing 21 soldiers. It was the deadliest attack on Israeli troops amid the war.

The military says troops of the 414th Combat Intelligence Collection Unit identified the operative on Friday and called in a drone strike, killing him. (TOI/VFI News)

Haredim Weigh Dissolving Knesset Over Failure to Pass Draft Exemption Bill

Following the government’s failure to pass legislation exempting yeshiva students from military service, the leaders of the country’s two ultra-Orthodox parties are now actively discussing the possibility of withdrawing from the coalition.

Both the Shas and United Torah Judaism (UTJ) parties had demanded the passage of the controversial military draft legislation by the Shavuot holiday, which began on June 1, warning that any delay would endanger the government’s continued existence.

While the ultra-Orthodox have repeatedly backed down from previous ultimatums, recent developments have seen their relationship with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approaching a breaking point.

UTJ is weighing steps ranging from "completely paralyzing the coalition" to submitting a bill to dissolve the Knesset.

The party’s ruling Council of Torah Sages is expected to meet to discuss the party’s next steps and update its MKs with "a dramatic ruling." (JP/VFI News)

Iran Strengthening Air Defenses Amid Fears of Israeli, U.S. Strikes

Iran is strengthening its air defense systems amid preparations for the possibility of an American or Israeli attack on the country's nuclear infrastructure should nuclear negotiations fail.

Iran’s military has seen a significant increase in investments and is relocating anti-aircraft missile launchers to positions close to key nuclear sites like Natanz and Fordow.

Despite Israeli air strikes in 2024 that damaged much of Iran's advanced missile and radar systems, many components appear to have been repaired.

Military equipment and weapons have been publicly displayed in Tehran and during recent exercises. Analysts suggest Iran is working to reassert the effectiveness of its defense network. (JP/VFI News)

Iran Producing Near-Weapons-Grade Uranium Amid Nuclear Talks, UN Watchdog

Iran is now producing uranium enriched at levels close to weapons-grade as negotiations continue over its nuclear program, according to a report from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The report indicates that Iran has stockpiled uranium enriched to 60%, just short of the 90% purity required for nuclear weapons. While Iran maintains that its nuclear pursuits are for peaceful purposes, the IAEA warned the enrichment levels are “unprecedented for a state not known to possess nuclear weapons.”

Western powers have expressed concern over Iran's lack of transparency, particularly the country's ongoing refusal to provide access to certain nuclear sites or explain traces of enriched uranium found at undeclared locations. (NYP/VFI News)
