VFI News BREAKING: Israel Stikes Iran Friday Morning

Israel Strike Iran: Prepare For Impact | VFI News

⚠️ BREAKING: Israel has launched a powerful preemptive strike on Iran in a military operation called Operation Rising Lion. In the early hours of the morning, Israeli airstrikes hit key nuclear facilities including the Natanz enrichment site, assassinated top IRGC generals, and destroyed major parts of Iran’s missile infrastructure. Sirens were heard across Israel around 3 AM as citizens rushed to bomb shelters. By mid-morning, Iran retaliated with over 120 long-range drones, and more missile attacks are expected within hours.

This marks the most serious escalation between Israel and Iran in decades. With Iran’s nuclear program targeted, and senior commanders like Hossein Salami and Mohammad Bagheri reportedly killed, the Middle East is on the brink. US forces in the region are on alert, while diplomatic efforts have all but collapsed. The world watches as tensions rise, retaliation looms, and questions emerge about possible broader war.

Why Israel Struck Iran on Friday Morning

Just after dawn on Friday, Israel launched a targeted military strike deep into Iranian territory. The operation, long in the making, was triggered by a dramatic shift in Tehran’s nuclear program and the growing sense among Israel’s defense establishment that time had simply run out.

Iran had crossed a critical threshold. Intelligence assessments showed the regime had enriched enough uranium to produce approximately 15 nuclear warheads and was actively conducting tests. The pace, the scope, and the intent had changed. What had once been described in abstract terms—potential, capability, intent—had now become operational reality.

This shift didn’t happen in isolation. It came alongside increasing signs that Iran was transferring advanced weaponry and strategic guidance to its proxies, particularly Hamas and Hezbollah. Recent discoveries in Gaza included components and materials that pointed directly to Iranian support, including coordination for multi-front attacks. Tehran wasn’t just building a bomb; it was building a plan.

According to senior military sources, the operation was greenlit when three elements converged: the nuclear program’s rapid acceleration, tangible evidence of Iran’s regional war doctrine taking shape, and the narrowing window for effective action. From the perspective of those planning the strike, this was the final moment to act before Israel’s intelligence and operational edge would begin to erode.

The goal was not to eliminate Iran’s nuclear project in its entirety. No one in the IDF believes that’s possible in a single blow. The mission was designed to delay, disrupt, and signal—both to Tehran and to other watching capitals—that Israel’s red lines are not rhetorical.

This time, though, there’s a growing recognition that what follows may not look like past rounds. It may last longer. It may be more lethal. Israeli officials are preparing for a broader conflict—one that could unfold across multiple fronts, from Lebanon to Yemen to Syria and Gaza. The Home Front Command has already shifted protocols. Underground parking garages are open. Stairwells are no longer considered safe. Reinforced rooms and shelters are the new minimum standard.

Unlike previous confrontations, where deterrence was restored through a quick exchange of fire, the current moment feels different. The stakes are higher. The margins for error are thinner. And the risk of miscalculation—on both sides—is real.

This operation marks the beginning of a new phase—not only militarily, but strategically. Iran’s ambitions are no longer hypothetical. The danger is here, and the choice was between preemption and regret.

For years, Israeli leaders have said they would not allow Iran to become a nuclear power. On Friday morning, that policy was tested. And this time, Israel didn’t blink. (JPost/VFI News)

IDF Confirms Elimination of IRGC Air Force Commander and Senior Leadership

In the early hours of Friday, June 13, the IDF’s Intelligence Directorate located a senior command meeting of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Air Force within an underground command center identified a prime opportunity to dismantle Iran’s aerial strike capabilities. Israeli Air Force fighter jets promptly struck the command center, killing Amir Ali Hajizadeh—the Commander of the IRGC Air Force—along with two other senior IRGC Air Force officials: Taher-pour, Commander of UAV Forces, and Davoud Shaykhian, Commander of Aerial Command.

According to the IDF, these senior figures were instrumental in orchestrating missile and UAV attacks against Israeli civilians during October 2024, and directly responsible for the April 2024 missile strike on Israel. They also coordinated the September 2019 attack on Saudi oil facilities. The IDF emphasized that removing these key leaders will significantly degrade Iran’s aerial strike and drone threat.

“The IRGC’s Air Force is responsible for repeated attacks against Israeli civilians,” an IDF spokesperson stated. Hajizadeh had publicly vowed Israel’s destruction multiple times and played a central role in crafting Iran’s strategic assault plans against the Jewish state. This strike, Israel National News reports, was part of “Operation Rising Lion”—the combined opening stage of a broader campaign targeting Iran’s military infrastructure.

In the wake of the strike, Israeli airspace has been closed, and Ben Gurion Airport evacuated as a precaution. Magen David Adom (MDA) has been placed on the highest alert across the country as the nation braces for potential Iranian retaliation. Additional IDF and homeland security measures are in place to monitor and intercept any drone or missile threats that may follow. (INN/VFI News)

IDF Destroys Major Hamas Rocket Site in Central Gaza School Complex

The IDF said it struck a major Hamas rocket manufacturing and storage site in the courtyard of a UNRWA school complex in central Gaza, where the terror group had built infrastructure embedded among civilians. The IDF said it used precise intelligence to identify Hamas activity centered at an UNRWA-run school in Nuseirat, and worked to evacuate civilians before the attack. The operation, carried out overnight Wednesday, June 12, targeted multiple Hamas operatives and facilities.

Israeli military officials stated that terrorists from Hamas and Islamic Jihad were killed in the strikes, and at least one senior Hamas rocket expert was among the dead. Video and photos released by the IDF showed what appeared to be weapons, rocket production parts, and infrastructure hidden inside and beneath the school facility. According to the army, UNRWA was warned in advance that its school premises had been co-opted for terror operations.

The IDF emphasized that the operation was conducted to minimize harm to civilians, even as terror operatives had deeply embedded themselves in populated areas. “Hamas continues to systematically use the civilian population in the Gaza Strip as human shields,” the military said in a statement. “We will continue operating to remove such threats to Israel’s security.”

The military added that this strike formed part of the broader campaign to dismantle Hamas’ terror infrastructure throughout Gaza, including rocket capabilities that pose ongoing threats to Israeli communities. The IDF has carried out several operations in the Nuseirat area in recent weeks, targeting tunnel networks and command posts beneath civilian areas.

The Gaza Health Ministry claimed civilians were killed in the strike, though the IDF said it had confirmed the presence of militants and worked to reduce collateral damage. UNRWA did not respond to Israeli claims that the school complex was being used for terror purposes, but the organization has faced growing scrutiny over repeated incidents where Hamas infrastructure was found in or near its facilities. IDF to Send 54,000 Draft Orders to Ultra-Orthodox Jews

The IDF plans to issue 54,000 draft orders next month to eligible haredi men, in addition to the 24,000 already summoned since July 2024. Brigadier-General Shai Tayeb announced that reporting dates will be staggered from July 2025 through June 2026.

This expansion follows a 2024 High Court ruling requiring ultra-Orthodox enlistment like all other Israeli citizens. The IDF also intends to increase enforcement, including arrests at airports and through mobile units, in cooperation with military and civilian police.

The military acknowledges it may not meet its goal of drafting 4,800 haredim in the 2025–2026 cycle but plans to streamline awareness and enforcement mechanisms to improve compliance.

Knesset MK Elazar Stern stated this shift offers hope that more citizens will share the national burden of defense. (TOI/VFI News)

Hamas Kills Five Aid Workers in Gaza Attack

At least five individuals from the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), including local Palestinian collaborators, were killed in a Hamas attack while en route to Khan Yunis. The foundation also reported that team members might have been taken hostage.

This attack follows direct threats issued by Hamas to aid workers cooperating with Israel. In messages sent earlier in the week, Hamas warned of "severe consequences" for those working under what it calls "suspicious humanitarian projects."

The GHF condemned the violence, stating that the group targeted unarmed civilians whose only mission was to deliver critical aid. The IDF is investigating the incident and has pledged to enhance security for humanitarian operations in the region. (TOI/VFI News)

Argentina to Move Embassy to Jerusalem in 2026, President Milei Announces

Argentinian President Javier Milei addressed the Knesset during his solidarity visit to Israel and declared Argentina will relocate its embassy to Jerusalem in 2026. This announcement marks a historic moment in Argentina-Israel relations.

Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana praised Milei as the greatest friend of Israel to ever lead Argentina, highlighting the president's moral clarity drawn from Torah study and his consistent support for Israel against Iran and global antisemitism.

Prime Minister Netanyahu welcomed the gesture, stating that the physical distance between Israel and Argentina is bridged by their spiritual and moral closeness. He applauded Milei's commitment to truth and support during Israel's ongoing war against Hamas.

Milei emphasized the need for the international community to rediscover its moral compass and discern between the forces of good and evil. He also underscored his nation's efforts to free itself from longstanding political and economic burdens.

"Argentina stands by you in these difficult days," Milei declared. (INN/VFI News)

US Evacuates Personnel in Middle East After Iran’s Threats

The US State Department has initiated partial evacuations from embassies in Iraq, Kuwait, and Bahrain due to increased threats from Iran. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth also authorized voluntary departures for military dependents across the region.

The moves come after Iran's Defense Minister threatened to strike US bases in response to failed nuclear negotiations. Tehran's officials insist they are not seeking nuclear weapons, claiming that American militarism is destabilizing the region.

Despite the precautions, no change has been reported at key US installations such as Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. The US continues to monitor the situation and coordinate with allies to maintain readiness.

This escalation has drawn attention to the fragile state of ongoing diplomatic efforts and raised alarms about the potential for conflict to spread beyond bilateral US-Iran tensions. (TOI/VFI News)

“Lord, we ask for protection over all innocent lives caught in this conflict. May diplomacy succeed where violence threatens to take hold. Strengthen the peacemakers and grant insight to all negotiators. Surround those in harm’s way with divine protection and fill hearts with the desire for understanding and reconciliation. Let justice roll on like a river and righteousness like a never-failing stream across this troubled region.”

Israeli Tourist Attacked in Athens for Speaking Hebrew

An Israeli tourist was attacked in Greece by a group of pro-Palestinian activists after they overheard him using Google Maps in Hebrew while navigating Athens.

Meidad Hozeh, 35, recounted his experience: "I went to a gym in Athens, and on the way, my phone was speaking Hebrew. I was using Google Maps. People passed by, and one of them asked me if I was from Israel. I told him yes, and at that moment, he began cursing at me and went into a frenzy."

As Hozeh continued on his way, a mob began following him. "They kept cursing and hitting me. I started taking pictures, ran into the street, and tried to get away. Even there, they chased me. I had to defend myself. I ended up hiding in a restaurant bathroom. They tried to break down the door, and one even suggested bringing an axe."

Eventually, the police arrived. However, instead of helping, they initially handcuffed Hozeh. "When the police got there, the restaurant was surrounded by Palestinian protesters. It was chaos. The police took me out in handcuffs, saying I was the aggressor. Only after reviewing video evidence did they realize I was the victim."

Hozeh said he sought medical treatment and is scheduled to return to the police to help identify his attackers. "No one helped me—not even in the restaurant. Not a single person intervened," he said. (TOI/VFI News)

“Lord, we ask that You protect Israelis wherever they travel around the world. Guard them from violence, hatred, and antisemitism. May justice be done swiftly and clearly.
