Hezbollah Rocket Hits Israel's Main Airport and Another Lands in a Parked Car as Group Fires 120-Missile Barrage
A Hezbollah rocket landed in Israel’s main airport on Wednesday, November 6, as the group launched waves of projectiles across the Lebanese border.
Ben Gurion airport was struck during a blistering assault as the IDF battled to intercept the initial salvo of projectiles, the military reported. Flights were delayed and disrupted as a result of the attack, as Hezbollah claimed it was targeting the IDF’s Tzrifin base, south of the airport.
Debris from an intercepted rocket also hit an empty car parked in Ra’anana, some 13 miles from the airport in Tel Aviv. Sirens rang out again east of the city this afternoon after a single rocket was flagged and intercepted, according to the IDF.
The military claimed 120 projectiles were launched from Lebanon altogether. The IDF reported ten were fired in the morning, claiming to have intercepted “most.” The Israel Airports Authority announced later that the airport was “open and working normally for arrivals and departures” again, following the initial attack.
Hezbollah later said it had also targeted a naval base near the Israeli city of Haifa with drones and missiles, the fourth attack on the base in as many weeks. (DM / VFI News)

Pro-Israel Politicians Win Congressional Races Across New York’s Swing Districts
Republican Rep. Mike Lawler retained his seat in New York’s 17th Congressional District in a race that saw both candidates vie for the area’s large Jewish vote and spar over support for Israel.
Lawler has forged close ties with the approximately 30,000 Orthodox Jewish voters in his district, frequently visiting their communities and meeting with their leading rabbis, at one point along with House Speaker Mike Johnson. He has also been vocally supportive of Israel and measures to combat antisemitism, advancing some via bipartisan legislation.
In the neighboring 18th District, Democrat Pat Ryan defeated Republican challenger Alison Esposito with around 56% of the vote. Ryan has also taken a position more closely aligned with Israel, saying in January that he would support a ceasefire if Hamas released Israeli hostages and surrendered.
In the 19th Congressional District, covering a swath of New York from the Massachusetts border to the Southern Tier, Democrat Josh Riley narrowly defeated incumbent Republican Rep. Marc Molinaro, securing slightly more than 50% of the vote.
The two were generally aligned in their stance toward Israel and the Middle East conflict, advocating for the end of Hamas rule in Gaza and the return of the hostages. Both attended pro-Israel events during the campaign. (TOI/ VFI News)

Israel Informs UN that 1967 Agreement Recognizing UNRWA Is Void
The Foreign Ministry on Monday, November 4, officially informed the United Nations that Israel is withdrawing from the 1967 agreement recognizing the Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA after the Knesset passed legislation to severely limit the operations of the agency in Israel, Judea and Samaria and the Gaza Strip.
Foreign Ministry Director-General Jacob Blitshtein sent the letter to UN General Assembly President Philemon Yang of Cameroon, informing him that “Israel will continue to work with international partners, including other United Nations agencies, to ensure the facilitation of humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza in a way that does not undermine Israel’s security. Israel expects the United Nations to contribute to and cooperate in this effort.”
Last week, the Knesset passed a bill banning UNRWA from operating from Israeli territory and prohibiting Israeli government agencies from working with UNRWA. The bill takes effect in three months.
“UNRWA — the organization whose employees participated in the October 7th massacre and many of whose employees are Hamas operatives — is part of the problem in the Gaza Strip and not part of the solution,” Foreign Minister Israel Katz said.
Katz also noted that only 13 percent of the aid to Gaza currently goes through UNRWA, and argued the idea that there is no alternative to UNRWA is fiction. (TOI / VFI News)
“Dear God, we pray for the Gazan civilians who are caught in the middle of this devastating war. We pray in Yeshua’s name that You protect them, heal them, and take care of all their physical and emotional needs. May You bless them, and protect them from the terrorists within them. We pray for all humanitarian aid intended for them to reach them and for all of our hostages to return safely to us as soon as possible.”
WATCH: What is Kristallnacht? | Vision for Israel
Kristallnacht (‘Crystal Night’), which occurred the night of November 9th-10th, 1938, will forever be a dark stain in history. The name Kristallnacht comes from the broken glass that covered the streets after pogroms against Jews were ruthlessly carried out by Nazi Parties. Jewish-owned stores, homes, buildings, and synagogues were severely vandalized, windows were smashed, and buildings were set aflame. An estimated 91 Jews were murdered, and 30,000 Jewish men were arrested and incarcerated in concentration camps. Modern analysis of German scholarly sources estimates 638 deaths by suicide as a result of post-arrest maltreatment. Let us remember Kristallnacht.
Iran Executes Jewish Citizen over Fatal Stabbing He Claimed Was in Self-Defense
A Jewish Iranian man, Arvin Nathaniel Ghahremani, was executed on Monday morning, November 4, in Iran, a rights watchdog reported, after a two-year battle by his family and the local Jewish community to save his life.
Ghahremani 20, was hanged at the central prison in the western city of Kermanshah after being convicted of a murder during a street fight, said the Norway-based Iran Human Rights group. He was allegedly defending himself against a knife attack when he killed Amir Shokri in a 2022 brawl.
“In the midst of the threats of war with Israel, the Islamic Republic executed Arvin Ghahremani, an Iranian Jewish citizen,” said IHR director Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, adding the legal case had “significant flaws.”
“However, in addition to this, Arvin was a Jew, and the institutionalized antisemitism in the Islamic Republic undoubtedly played a crucial role in the execution of his sentence,” Amiry-Moghaddam added.
Meanwhile, Iranian authorities arrested a female student on Saturday after she staged a solo protest against harassment by stripping down to her underwear outside her university, media reports said.
The woman had been harassed inside Tehran’s prestigious Islamic Azad University by members of the Basij paramilitary force who ripped her headscarf and clothes, according to reports by several news outlets and social media channels outside Iran. (TOI/VFI News)

Israel Urges Citizens to Leave Amsterdam After Lynching of Israeli Soccer Fans
Israel’s National Security Council (NSC) on Friday, November 8, urged Israelis in Amsterdam to return home as soon as possible, advising them to shelter in place and avoid wearing Jewish or Israeli symbols when venturing outside.
The warning followed a series of violent attacks by masked men, some carrying Palestinian flags, targeting Israeli fans after a Europa League match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ajax.
At least 10 Israelis were reported injured in the assaults, with two remaining out of contact, according to the Foreign Ministry. Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene involving car-ramming, stabbings, and beatings in several areas of Amsterdam, as attackers attempted to storm hotels where Israeli fans were staying.
In response, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered flights to evacuate stranded Israelis from Amsterdam. The NSC advised Israelis facing threats to contact the Israeli mission at +31646312161 or the Foreign Ministry’s situation room at 025303155.
Some Israelis described what they saw as a coordinated attack by groups “hunting down” Israelis, with Dutch police reportedly outnumbered and struggling to control the situation. (YNet/VFI News)
“Our Father, we pray in Yeshua’s name that the Israelis who have been injured during the latest antisemitic attack in Amsterdam will soon be completely healed. We pray for Your protection over them, and over all Israelis dispersed throughout the world. We pray that nations worldwide will efficiently defend our people and that, in time, will eradicate antisemitism from their lands. We thank You for Your continued protection over your people and we pray for the emotional and physical healing of those who have been affected by the attacks in Amsterdam.”
Germany’s Ruling Parties Agree on Landmark Resolution to Fight Antisemitism
Germany’s ruling parties have agreed on a landmark resolution on combating antisemitism, political sources said on Saturday, November 2.
The non-binding statement aims to toughen the official campaign against antisemitism that has made headlines since the Hamas terror group’s October 7, 2023, onslaught in Israel sparked a still-ongoing war.
Intensely debated by lawmakers of the ruling Social Democratic Party (SDP), Greens, and Free Democrats (FDP) with the opposition Christian Democrats (CDU), the draft says no group that “questions the right of Israel to exist or calls for a boycott of Israel” should receive public funding.
It says the mounting antisemitism is “more and more manifest and violent in far-right circles” and also linked to “left-wing anti-imperialism” groups.
The aim is to “protect, preserve and strengthen Jewish life in Germany,” according to a version seen by French media. (TOI /VFI News)

American Airlines Extends Suspension of Flights to Israel Until September 2025
American Airlines announced on Sunday, November 3, an extension of its suspension of all flights to Israel, pushing the timeline from March 2025 to September 2025, Israeli media reported.
The airline initially halted flights to Israel in October 2023 in the wake of the outbreak of conflict in the region. Service was tentatively set to resume in May 2024, but following an escalation with an Iranian attack on Israel in April 2024, American Airlines opted to postpone flights until March 2025.
UK airline British Airways, one of the dozens of airlines to have suspended flights to Israel, had also initially suspended flights between London’s Heathrow Airport and Ben Gurion Airport for three days in late September, citing the security escalation in the region.
The airline had not resumed operations in Israel since then, before announcing in late October that the suspension would actually stretch until March 2025. (INN / VFI News)
