Security Cabinet Reportedly Discuss ‘Strike on Iran in the Coming Days’
The members of the Security Cabinet were reported to meet on Sunday afternoon, October 20, to discuss several hot-button issues, the most prominent of which being a response to the Iranian missile attack on Israel earlier in the month.
Diplomatic sources with knowledge of the details of the plans that were to be discussed during the meeting claimed in a discussion with Israeli media that there would be a substantial strike in the coming days and that all necessary preparations had already been completed.
According to them, Israel has rejected international pressure to reduce the strike and even requested additional assistance in the counterstrike.
The cabinet was also to discuss Hezbollah’s punishment for the UAV that was intended, according to the terror organization, to strike the home of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Caesaria.
Tomorrow, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to arrive in Israel. He will attempt to advance a plan for a hostage deal and ceasefire in Lebanon. Israeli officials estimate that Blinken will also try to pressure Jerusalem into moderating the retaliation to Iran and Israel is preparing to push back on the pressure. (INN / VFI News)

US Intelligence Documents Outlining Israel’s Potential Attack Plan on Iran Leaked - Report
Senior American officials voiced serious concern on Saturday, October 19, following the leak of two US intelligence documents allegedly outlining Israel’s preparations for a potential strike on Iran. These documents were published by a Telegram account linked to Iran.
While both the US Department of Defense and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence declined to comment on the leaked documents, they did not deny their authenticity. An unnamed senior Israeli official remarked, “Israel’s defense establishment is aware of the leak and takes it very seriously.”
The leak occurred on Friday when the Telegram channel claimed it had received documents about Israel’s strike preparations from a source within the US intelligence community. This Telegram channel is known for publishing pro-Iranian propaganda, and its associated Twitter account states that its operators are based in Iran.
The documents included an alleged report from the US Department of Defense’s visual intelligence agency, which had been circulated within the US intelligence community three days earlier.
The report detailed alleged recent actions at Israel Air Force (IAF) bases, including the movement of advanced munitions believed to be intended for a strike on Iran. (JPost / VFI News)
“Dear Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment regarding all future actions. We pray for our allies, that they may not be led astray but remain firm on righteousness. We ask that You help keep confidential information regarding Israel’s military operations safe and prevent it from falling into the wrong hands.”
Abbas’s PLO Mourns ‘Martyrdom’ of Hamas Chief Sinwar, A ‘Great National Leader’
The Palestine Liberation Organization, led by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and seen internationally as the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, expressed its condolences Friday, October 18, on the “martyrdom” of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar, calling him a “great national leader” and urging Palestinian national unity.
Some of the PLO’s constituent factions also expressed condolences for the terror chief’s demise, including Abbas’s secularist Fatah party, which said Israel’s “killing and terrorism will not succeed in breaking the will of our people.”
Sinwar was the architect of the October 7, 2023 invasion and slaughter in southern Israel, when some 3,000 Hamas-led terrorists burst through the Gaza border and massacred at least 1,200 people in their homes, communities, and at a music festival, and abducted 251 to Gaza where 97 are still held hostage.
He was killed by IDF troops in Gaza’s Rafah on Wednesday. Among the condolences quoted by the Palestinian Authority’s official news agency, were messages from the Palestinian National Initiative and the Palestinian Democratic Union, left-wing members of the PLO which, like Fatah, have expressed opposition to the armed struggle against Israel. “God, we ask that You lift the veil and remove the scales from the eyes of the spiritually blind. May You lead everyone to true sorrow over their past actions and words, and guide them to repentance as we know that You do not wish for anyone to perish before they come to repentance. We pray for the terrorists to be brought to justice and for Godly leaders to emerge who will lead Palestinians into seeking the truth and peace with Israel. May all the hatred and falsehood be put away in Yeshua’s name.”
Israel Sends Message to Hamas, Drops Leaflets Showing Sinwar over Gaza
Israeli planes dropped leaflets over southern Gaza on Saturday, October 19, showing a picture of the dead Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar with the message that “Hamas will no longer rule Gaza,” echoing language used by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The move came as Israeli military strikes reportedly killed at least 32 people across the Gaza Strip and tightened a siege around hospitals in Jabalya in the north of the enclave, Palestinian health officials said. The statement did not differentiate how many of those were civilians and how many were Hamas terrorists.
The IDF said it was unaware of the incident. “Whoever drops the weapon and hands over the hostages will be allowed to leave and live in peace,” the leaflet, written in Arabic, read, according to residents of the southern city of Khan Yunis and images circulating online.
Residents and medics said Israeli forces had tightened their siege on Jabalya, the largest of the enclave’s eight historic camps, which it encircled by also sending tanks to nearby towns of Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahiya and issuing evacuation orders to residents.
Israeli officials said evacuation orders were aimed at separating Hamas fighters from civilians and denied that there was any systematic plan to clear civilians out of Jabalya or other northern areas. (JPost / VFI News)
“Lord, we pray for all the Palestinian civilians who are plagued by this year-long war. We pray in Yeshua’s name that You lead them to safety and provide for all their physical needs. We pray that they feel safe and protected and that they turn to You and realize You are the only one worth worshipping. We pray that You would reveal yourself to them, bring them into salvation, and show them that Israel is not their true enemy. We pray for the renewing of their minds and for an understanding that Hamas and other terror groups are the only ones to blame for the troubles they find themselves in. We pray for an end to the war and we thank You for all the blessings You send us daily.”

Drone Strikes Netanyahu’s Home in Israel While IDF Continues Operations in Gaza, Lebanon: ‘Nothing Will Deter Us’
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed “Nothing will deter us, we will keep going until victory,” after a drone struck his vacation home in northern Israel on Saturday, October 19, as the military continued its operations in Lebanon and Gaza.
Netanyahu was not in the area when the drone was fired from Lebanon at his residence in Caesarea, his spokesperson said.
US House Speaker Mike Johnson spoke with Netanyahu, saying the Israeli leader is “safe, in good spirits, and undeterred.”
“I told him America stands strong with Israel and reiterated our ongoing commitment to help counter Iran and its terrorist proxies. This is a crucial moment and America must deliver,” Johnson wrote on X.
The drone hit an undisclosed building, officials said. There were no casualties. Two other drones that crossed into Israeli territory were intercepted according to the military. (NYP / VFI News)

Former Amb. Michael Oren: VP’s Claim is a Very Dangerous Precedent
Former Israeli ambassador to the United States Michael Oren on Sunday, October 20, called on the White House to state unequivocally that Israel is not committing genocide in Gaza after Vice President Kamala Harris appeared to agree with a heckler who accused Israel of genocide.
A pro-Hamas UWM student began yelling out at Harris while she was speaking, accusing her of investing “billions of dollars in genocide.” “I’m speaking right now,” Harris said before adding, “I know what you’re speaking of. I want the ceasefire. I want the war to end. And I respect your right to speak but I am speaking right now.”
“But what about the genocide? What about the genocide though?” yelled the protester, who was wearing a keffiyeh. He was then escorted out of the hall before Harris told the crowd the issue “was real.”
The incident occurred this past Thursday, during a campaign stop at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. During the same event, after Christian students proclaimed, “Jesus is Lord,” Harris said, “Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally,” and the attendees were escorted out.
Meanwhile, a nonprofit focused on serving Middle Eastern migrants that has received millions in US taxpayer funds plans to host multiple speakers who in the past have spoken positively of terrorist groups or activities at an upcoming “Arab health summit.”
The Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS) has received over $20 million in grant funding. Leaders of the nonprofit have invited two doctors from Europe who have previously praised terrorists, as well as the director of health for the Hamas-linked UNRWA and multiple anti-Israel activists, to speak at the event. Texas Troopers Find 134 Illegal Immigrants Near Border, Some from Iran, Authorities Say
A large group of illegal immigrants was spotted in Texas near the southern border, including some from Iran and Africa, authorities said.
Video footage captured from a drone shows 134 migrants in Maverick County on Thursday, October 17, which sits on the Texas-Mexico border, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) said.
The group included 32 unaccompanied children and minors and seven special interest immigrants from Iran and Angola. Special-interest immigrants are those who potentially pose a national security risk to the U.S.
The designation means that the travel and behavior patterns of such individuals could indicate a possible nexus to nefarious activity, including terrorism, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) states.
Earlier this month, dozens of illegal immigrants from countries linked to extensive terrorist activity were caught at the southern border in Texas. Some hailed from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Egypt and India. (FN / VFI News)
Harvard Faces $150M. Drop in Donations amid Controversial Handling of Antisemitism
Harvard University has suffered a $150 million drop in donations in the 2024 fiscal year as a result of the university’s handling of campus antisemitism, according to the Harvard student newspaper.
This marks a 14% decline in donations. The steepest drop came in donations to Harvard’s endowment, which fell by $193 million, a one-third reduction compared to the previous year. However, donations for immediate use increased by $42 million, showcasing a mixed philanthropic response.
The fall in contributions has put pressure on Harvard’s leadership, with interim president Alan Garber acknowledging the concerning figures, stating that “some of the new commitments have been disappointing compared to past years.”
British media noted that protests and student activism around the Israel-Hamas conflict have exacerbated tensions on campus, leading prominent donors, such as billionaire Ken Griffin and Len Blavatnik, to sever ties with the university.
Griffin, in particular, publicly criticized Harvard for failing to maintain “Western values” in the face of rising antisemitism, while Blavatnik’s foundation, which has contributed over $270 million, also suspended its financial support. (JPost / VFI News)
