Netanyahu Welcomes Home Three Released Hostages, Says Preparations Underway for ‘What Comes Next’

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday, February 15, following the release of former hostages Sagui Dekel Chen, Alexander Sasha Troufanov, and Iair Horn, that preparations were underway for “what comes next.”

Netanyahu welcomed home the three men who had spent nearly 500 days captive after being abducted from southern Israel.  “We welcome them with a big embrace,” Netanyahu wrote. “We have prepared for their return, and along with their families, we will assist in their rehabilitation after a long and excruciating period of captivity.”

Netanyahu also noted that Hamas threatened not to release the three men - alleging Israel had violated the ceasefire agreement.

“This week, again, Hamas attempted to violate the agreement and create a false crisis under false claims,” Netanyahu wrote, attributing the eventual release of hostages to the support  from U.S. President Donald Trump and “the concentration of our forces inside the Strip.”

“We are working in full coordination with the United States in order to free all of our hostages – the living and the deceased – as soon as possible; and are preparing with full intensity for what comes next, in every sense,” Netanyahu concluded.

Defense Minister Israel Katz added that “The IDF is fully prepared for any scenario and any attempt by the Hamas terrorist organization to violate the agreement and prevent the release of the hostages.” (JPost/VFI News)

“Dear Lord, we thank You for listening to our pleas and releasing the three hostages on Saturday. We are extremely grateful for the mediation and for all the people who worked tirelessly for the release to happen. We also thank You for keeping the former hostages alive and giving them the strength to endure their imprisonment. We pray in Yeshua’s name that You continue the good work You have started so that all hostages be released as soon as possible.”

Terror Victims File NIS 1.255 Billion Claim Against Palestinian Authority

Some 245 individuals who have been victims of terror attacks filed a claim against the Palestinian Authority amounting to NIS 1.255 billion, Israeli media reported on Thursday, February 13.

The lawsuit was filed under the new Israeli law for compensation for victims of terrorism. The law allows for NIS 10 million compensation to each heir of murdered victims and NIS 5 million to those permanently disabled due to a terror attack.

Gohar Law Firm represents the 245 survivors of the Nova Festival massacre along with the Kedem Arbus Law Firm, which filed the lawsuit and is representing other terror attack victims, including October 7 survivors.

The lawsuit, which is against the Palestinian Authority and the terror group Hamas, claims that “the Palestinian Authority initiated, supported, and encouraged the execution of murderous terrorist acts against the citizens of the State of Israel. The defendant even rewards terrorist acts by making payments to terrorist perpetrators and their families.”

“Paying the terrorists is not only a retroactive approval of terror attacks, but a direct incentive for future acts,” the lawsuit added.

“The war on terror is not limited to the battlefield,” Attorney Barak Kedem of the Arbus Kedem Law Firm said. “We are also committed to fighting in the legal arena to dry up the sources of financing for terrorism and bring justice to the victims of terrorism and their families.” (JPost/VFI News)

“Our Heavenly Father, we pray that You ensure that the Palestinian Authority will no longer pay terrorists, but that the PA leaders will realize the fault of their ways. May You open their spiritual eyes and remove the scales so they can offer restitution to the actual victims and remove the terrorists from their population. In Yeshua’s name we pray, amen.”

Freed American Hostage Thanks Trump in First Video Since His Hamas Release: ‘You Are The Reason I’m Alive’

An Israeli American hostage recently freed from Hamas released a powerful message thanking Donald Trump for being the “reason I am home alive” and urged him to bring those remaining in captivity home.

Keith Siegel, 65, issued a statement on Friday, February 14, commending the president for his “strength” and “leadership” during the conflict in Gaza while revealing the horrors he faced as a prisoner of Hamas.

“Since February 1, I am a newly released Hamas hostage. I’m a survivor. I was held for 484 days in unimaginable conditions. Every single day felt like it could be my last,” Seigel said.

“President Trump, you are the reason I am home alive. You are the reason I was reunited with my beloved wife, four children, and five grandchildren. Thank you for your continued fight against terror, and for your bold leadership that has brought me and many others back home to our families, to safety, and to security.”

Siegel also shared that the horrors he faced included being starved and tortured “both physically and emotionally.”   “When I was in Gaza I was in constant fear, fear for my life and for my personal safety,” he said. “Terrorists kicked me, spat on me, and held me with no water, no light, no air to breathe.” (DM/VFI News)

U.S. President Trump Urged to Confront Iranian Regime Over Repression of Christians

Iran is reported to have launched a new crackdown against Iranian Christians this month following the re-arrest of two men. According to a February 10 report on the website of the U.K.-based NGO Article18, which seeks to protect religious freedom in Iran, “Two Christians in their 60s who were released after a combined six years in prison on charges related to their leadership of house churches have been re-arrested.”

Iranian regime intelligence agents re-arrested the two Christians, Nasser Navard Gol-Tapeh and Joseph Shahbazian, and incarcerated both men in Tehran’s brutal Evin Prison. Gol-Tapeh is reportedly on a hunger strike over “unlawful re-arrest,” noted Article 18, which advocates on behalf of persecuted Iranian Christians.

Article 18 said a “number of other Tehran Christians were also arrested at the same time and remain in custody.”

Iranian-Americans and Iranian dissidents are urging the Trump administration to shine a spotlight on the ubiquitous Iranian regime human rights violations while imposing punitive measures on the clerical state in Tehran.

Alireza Nader, an Iran expert, told American media, “Christians in Iran are relentlessly persecuted by the Islamist regime. The Trump administration should highlight their plight publicly while putting maximum economic and diplomatic pressure on the regime.” (FN/VFI News)

“Dear God, we pray for our Iranian brothers and sisters who are facing extreme persecution for Your Name. You and Your Son had warned us that this would happen, but we pray that You show mercy to Your children and rescue them from extreme suffering, abuse, and censorship. We pray in Yeshua’s name that they will continue to glorify Your name and plant seeds of Your Word to their fellow countrymen. May Your Loving Hand protect them from their enemies, deliver them from all their troubles, and reward them for their faith and resilience.”

Nurses Suspended After Viral Video Threatening to Kill Israeli Man: Australia Health Department

Two Sydney nurses who threatened on camera to kill an Israeli man and other Israeli people in their care were identified and immediately suspended from practicing.

The two nurses who initially claimed they were doctors while donning scrubs, threatened Israeli influencer Max Veifer on an international video chat website.

After asking Veifer about his nationality, one of the nurses said “It’s Palentine’s country, not your country you piece of s---,” according to the video. She proceeded to tell Veifer “When the time comes, I want you to remember my face, so you can understand that you will die the most disgusting death.”

The other nurse chimed in and they both said they would not treat Veifer and would kill him if he came to their hospital.

“You have no idea how many Israelis came to this hospital and…,” the second nurse said while sliding his arm across his neck in a throat-slashing motion.

Officials said “Their sickening comments – and the hatred that underpins them – have no place in our health system and no place anywhere in Australia.” Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese confirmed on Tuesday, February 11, that the pair were “rightly” referred to the NSW Police for criminal investigation. Hours After Hamas Invaded on Oct. 7, UK Anti-Israel Group Began Planning Mass Protest

Pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel activists in the UK began organizing a large anti-Israel demonstration in central London even as the Hamas onslaught in southern Israel was unfolding, UK news outlets have reported, citing information revealed by the Freedom of Information Act.

Soon after midday on October 7, 2023, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign sought and obtained police approval for a mass protest to be held a week later, the reports said on Thursday, February 6.

A recent request for information from the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) showed that the Palestine Solidarity Campaign called the police shortly after noon on October 7 — some eight hours after Hamas breached the Israel-Gaza border in multiple places, invaded Israel, and began its slaughter — to inform the police of its intention to hold a demonstration against Israel the following Saturday, on October 14, 2023.

At the time that the request was filed, the massacre was ongoing and the IDF was scrambling to regain control of the southern communities invaded by Hamas. Israel was still far from fully understanding the scale of the unfolding disaster.

The police approved the October 14 demonstration, and it went ahead, as did other anti-Israel marches and protests elsewhere in the UK. Numerous anti-Israel demonstrations have been held in the UK since. (TOI /VFI News)

Afghan Migrant Who Drove Car into Munich Crowd, Was Reportedly A Bodybuilding ‘Islamic Extremist’

The Afghan migrant who plowed his car into a demonstration in Munich, injuring 36 people — including a mother and her 2-year-old child — was a bodybuilding “Islamic extremist” who said “Allahu Akbar” after his arrest, officials said Friday, February 14.

Farhad Noori, a 24-year-old who had just been turned down for asylum, admitted to intentionally driving a mini-cooper into the 1,500-strong crowd in Munich in what appears to be an “Islamic extremist attack,” German law enforcement officials announced Friday.

Prosecutor Gabriele Tilmann said that during a two-hour police interrogation Noori “gave an explanation that I would summarise as religious motivation.” That emerged soon after Noori was detained, when he began praying — and told cops “Allahu Akbar,” or “God is great,” Tillman said.

Noori’s online posts then showed “indications of an extremist background,” prosecutors told German media — including an alarming one that said: “Eradicate all those who are bad to Islam.”

Noori was born in Kabul in 2001 and first arrived in Germany from Afghanistan at the end of 2016 as an unaccompanied minor, according to German reports. He applied for asylum, but it was rejected. German chancellor Olaf Scholz has called for Noori to be deported. (NYP/VFI News)

Students in Iran Continue Protests Over 19-Year-Old’s Murder on Campus for Second Day

Students in Iran continued to protest the fatal robbery of a 19-year-old student on campus which happened on Saturday, February 15.

Amir Mohammad Khaleghi, 19, a business student at Tehran University, was killed in a robbery near a campus dormitory on Wednesday, sparking protests on Friday.

The protesters are accusing school officials of failing to keep students safe on campus, according to local media. The demonstrators clashed with police on Friday near where Khaleghi was killed outside a university dormitory by two unknown robbers. He later died in a hospital.

The protesters shouted things like “Shame on you!,” “University security is a tool of the IRGC [Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps],” and “The blood that has been spilled can never be erased!”

Amid the outcry, Iran’s vice president, Mohammad Reza Aref, ordered an “immediate” investigation into Khaleghi’s death.

Hossein Sarraf, Iran’s Minister of Science, Research, and Technology also warned protesters that “university issues must not extend beyond campus. Those who enter unlawfully will face severe consequences, and there will be no leniency in this matter,” according to the state-run news agency. (FN/VFI News)
