US Evacuates Personnel in Middle East After Iran’s Threats

The US State Department has initiated partial evacuations from embassies in Iraq, Kuwait, and Bahrain due to increased threats from Iran. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth also authorized voluntary departures for military dependents across the region.

The moves come after Iran's Defense Minister threatened to strike US bases in response to failed nuclear negotiations. Tehran's officials insist they are not seeking nuclear weapons, claiming that American militarism is destabilizing the region.

Despite the precautions, no change has been reported at key US installations such as Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. The US continues to monitor the situation and coordinate with allies to maintain readiness.

This escalation has drawn attention to the fragile state of ongoing diplomatic efforts and raised alarms about the potential for conflict to spread beyond bilateral US-Iran tensions. (TOI/VFI News)

“Lord, we ask for protection over all innocent lives caught in this conflict. May diplomacy succeed where violence threatens to take hold. Strengthen the peacemakers and grant insight to all negotiators. Surround those in harm’s way with divine protection and fill hearts with the desire for understanding and reconciliation. Let justice roll on like a river and righteousness like a never-failing stream across this troubled region.”
