Netanyahu: Iran Has No Ability to Enrich Uranium or Produce Ballistic Missiles

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held his first English-language press conference since the start of the Iran war in Jerusalem on Wednesday, March 19, declaring that after 20 days of Operation Roaring Lion, Iran can no longer enrich uranium or manufacture ballistic missiles. Netanyahu praised the close coordination between Israel and the United States and described the two nations’ combined air forces and intelligence services as capable of confronting what he called “barbarians” with precision and lethality.

Netanyahu dismissed claims that Israel had dragged the United States into the conflict, calling the suggestion “ridiculous.” He emphasized that President Donald Trump makes his own decisions based on American interests and added that the joint campaign is achieving its goals at unprecedented speed. He also mocked Iran’s new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, saying the successor to the elder Khamenei—who was killed in the initial wave of strikes on February 28—has been unable to show his face in public.

Hours after Netanyahu’s remarks, Iran fired a series of missiles at Israel, triggering sirens in Jerusalem and across northern Israel. The prime minister warned that the campaign would continue as long as necessary but predicted it would conclude faster than many expect. He also stated that Israel is “holding off” further strikes on energy infrastructure at President Trump’s request, while affirming that Israel stands as a regional—and some would say global—power.

"Almighty God, we lift up the people of Israel as they endure this difficult campaign against a regime that has sought their destruction. We ask You in Yeshua’s Name to protect every soldier, every pilot, and every family huddled in shelters. Strengthen the leaders making life-and-death decisions and grant them wisdom from on high. Shield the innocent on all sides and bring this conflict to a swift and just conclusion. We pray for the Iranian people who have suffered under tyranny, that they may find freedom and dignity. Let Your peace reign over Jerusalem and over the nations, and may Your purposes prevail in this hour."
