Houthi Missile Hits Grounds of Ben Gurion Airport After Interception Fails; 6 Injured, None Seriously

A ballistic missile fired by the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen impacted on the grounds of Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday morning, May 4, injuring six people, none of them seriously. The blast occurred in a grove of trees alongside an access road close to the airport’s main Terminal 3, several hundred yards from the airport control tower.

Both the Israeli Air Force’s long-range Arrow air defense system and the US’s THAAD system failed to intercept the Houthi missile, defense sources said. The Israeli Air Force’s aerial defense array was investigating the failure. The attack marked the first time a Houthi missile had impacted within the grounds of the airport.

Those hurt in the attack included a man in his 50s in good-to-moderate condition with trauma to his limbs and two women, aged 54 and 38, in good condition who were hit by the shockwave, the Magen David Adom ambulance service said in a statement.

A man, 64, was lightly hurt after he was hit by an object that flew from the impact site, and two more women, aged 22 and 34, were lightly hurt while running for shelter, MDA said. Another two people were treated for acute anxiety.

Meanwhile, the Houthi rebels on Friday had fired two other missiles at Israel, both of which were intercepted by air defenses, the IDF said. The first missile triggered sirens at around 5:30 a.m. in Haifa and across northern Israel. Debris from the missile interception penetrated the roof of a kindergarten at Kibbutz Mishmar Ha’emek, causing some damage. (TOI/VFI News)

'Israel Will Respond to Iran' | Netanyahu's Hint to Trump Following Strike on Airport

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared a post by US President Donald Trump from a month and a half ago, in which he warned that Iran would be held responsible for attacks by the Houthis.

"President Trump is absolutely right! Attacks by the Houthis emanate from Iran. Israel will respond to the Houthi attack against our main airport AND, at a time and place of our choosing, to their Iranian terror master," Netanyahu wrote.

In his post from March, the US President wrote: "Let nobody be fooled! The hundreds of attacks being made by Houthi, the sinister mobsters and thugs based in Yemen, who are hated by the Yemeni people, all emanate from and are created by Iran."

"Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of Iran, and Iran will be held responsible, and suffer the consequences, and those consequences will be dire!"

Earlier in the day, Netanyahu stressed: "We're being challenged, the whole world is being challenged by the Houthis … We will not tolerate it. We will take very strong action against them. And we always remember that they act with their patron Iran's direction and support. We will do what we need to do to take care of our security, to respond effectively, and to give Iran due warning that this cannot continue. " (INN/VFI News)

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” - Ephesians 6:12-13

Houthis Threaten: We Will Impose an Aerial Blockade on Israel

The Houthi military spokesperson in Yemen, Yahya Saree, threatened on Sunday evening, May 4, to impose a "comprehensive aerial blockade on Israel," following the group's launch of a missile that struck Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday morning.

He warned the move will be carried out "through repeated strikes on airports, primarily Ben Gurion Airport." Additionally, he called on international airlines to cease flying to Israel.

The Israel Air Force’s inquiry into its failure to intercept the missile found that the source of the failure was a technical error in the interceptor missile, and not in the Arrow system battery, Israeli media reported.

More specifically, the first interceptor did not operate as expected due to a technical error, and the second interceptor, which was launched by the American THAAD system, missed its target. (INN/VFI News)

Some Non-Israeli Hostages Beaten to Death by Hamas Due to Language Gap: Report

The head of the IDF's foreign hostages team, Lt.-Col. A., has said that some of them were beaten to death in Hamas captivity in an interview with Israeli media.

Discussing the specific cultural issues that come with handling the cases of foreign hostages, A. said that due to a "language gap," some of the foreign hostages held by Hamas were beaten to death.

"There is a language gap here," A. told the Israeli news outlet. "You can't speak Hebrew or English with them, and that's not an easy challenge. Think about the Hamas people who have to talk to the hostages, some of whom were beaten to death in captivity because they didn't understand what Hamas wanted from them. This is unimaginable."

The remaining foreign hostages range from Thai to Tanzanian, all of them either agricultural students or workers. A. described the cultural differences between some of the foreign hostages, saying that each country has taken a different approach, but that often similar difficulties can arise.

"We must remember that the vast majority are [rural] villagers, without passports; some have never boarded a plane. We, as a country, proposed this and even financed it, but there is also a cultural issue here, and each country has its own policy," the foreign hostages team leader said. (JPost/VFI News)

“Dear Lord, we pray for all the hostages and their families who have suffered terribly because of Hamas. We pray that You comfort them, wipe their tears and put Your hope in their heart. We pray continually for a deal that will ensure the release of all remaining hostages, with minimal release of terrorists. You are the God of the impossible and we trust in You. In Yeshua's name we pray.”

Iran: 'Our Missile Silos Are Full'; New Missile with 1,200 Km Range

The Iranian Defense Minister, Aziz Nasirzadeh, revealed on Sunday, May 4, a new ballistic missile with a range of 1,200 km that recently underwent a successful test, according to him.

An Iranian news agency reported that in the test conducted, the missile successfully hit only the designated target, without deviating towards nearby targets and without relying on a GPS navigation system.

The missile is equipped with a heat source detection system that gives it an enhanced capability to locate the target designated for attack. The missile is a solid-fuel projectile named the Qassem Basir and is an upgrade of the ballistic missile named Shahid al-Haj Qassem.

The missile has advanced capabilities to maneuver through the U.S. THAAD missile defense system and has demonstrated high resistance to electronic disruption.

The Iranian Defense Minister stated, "If war is forced upon us, we will use weapons that have not been used until now," and that "Iran's missile silos are full and will be used without hesitation against targets in the region if necessary.”(INN/VFI News)

“Dear God, we pray that You protect us, all our allies and all the countries in the Middle East from Iran's threat. We pray that You destroy its weapons and not let it attack us or any other country. We pray for Your swift intervention in the Iranian matter in Yeshua's Name.”

Iran-Backed Terrorists Were Just Hours from UK Attack Before Special Forces 'Thwarted Plot'

Police and MI5 have foiled a suspected plot by Iranian terrorists to carry out a major attack in Britain. Counter-terror officers and Special Forces raided two suspected Iranian cells in a ‘highly significant’ operation to tackle growing activity by the hostile state in the UK.

Sources said the alleged plot to target a UK premises was a ‘major attack’ that could have led to an imminent threat to life. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said last night that the arrests on Saturday, May 3, ‘reflect some of the biggest counter-state threat and counter-terrorism operations we have seen in recent years’.

Asked about possible links to the Iranian state, she said: ‘These are major operations and the ongoing investigation is immensely important, and, of course, it involves Iranian nationals in both investigations.’

The arrests came just days ahead of commemorative events in London to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day, although sources stressed that they were not the intended target. Police were questioning four men ‘on suspicion of preparation of a terrorist act’ after coordinated raids on addresses in west London, Rochdale, Swindon, Manchester and Stockport on Saturday evening.

Hours earlier, counter-terrorism police had disrupted an alleged Iranian spy cell in London in a separate operation, arresting three men suspected of carrying out espionage activity for Iran. It was feared that news of police thwarting a suspected Iranian terror cell could spook others suspected of working for the enemy state in the UK.

The suspected plot was hours away from taking place, according to British media. Sir Ken McCallum, head of MI5, recently warned that Iran was plotting attacks at ‘an unprecedented pace and scale’, and said there was a risk that Iranian state aggression could ‘broaden’ due to conflict in the Middle East. Operations to Be Expanded: IDF Expected to Call up More Reservists

The IDF is preparing for the next stage in its operations in the Gaza Strip. In recent days, many reserve commanders began to notify their subordinates at home about another mobilization, which was not planned ahead of time.

Some of the reservists who will be activated during this stage will join the active duty forces in the offensive effort, and even more will replace active duty brigades that will go down to Gaza.

The IDF brass has emphasized that the purpose of the maneuvers in Gaza, which resumed after the ceasefire collapsed on March 18th, is the return of the hostages, together with military pressure on Hamas to advance the negotiations, as well as the defeat of the terror organization.

Since the fighting resumed, the IDF has eliminated over 400 terrorists and struck over 1,800 targets. Regarding humanitarian aid, the Chief of Staff's position is that the IDF would allow for the distribution of aid in an optimal manner.

This being said, IDF soldiers will not be the ones to distribute the aid. It was recommended to create aid distribution areas with international organizations and private companies that will be protected by the IDF. (INN/VFI News)

Hamas’s Next Front? Sudan’s Islamist Army and the African Threat to Israel — Opinion

Sudan’s Armed Forces have become the Hamas of Africa, and the armed wing of the Muslim Brotherhood. Sudan, once seen as a promising partner under the Abraham Accords, is now collapsing into a stronghold for global jihadists. UAE intelligence recently foiled an illegal shipment of weapons destined for the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), which are openly aligning with radical Islamist groups.

This same network has supported terrorists behind recent attacks in Kashmir, India; smuggled Iranian weapons to Hamas; and previously trained Osama bin Laden’s fighters, all under SAF’s protection.

Sudan is no longer just a battlefield. It is rapidly becoming a terror hub, strategically positioned near Israel’s southern flank and the vital shipping lanes of the Red Sea.

The Baraa ibn Malik Brigade, operating under SAF, openly venerates Sayyid Qutb, the ideological architect of jihadism. Its leader, Al-Musbah Abu Zaid, often referred to as the Yahya Sinwar of Sudan, poses with figures like Mukhtar Badri, notorious for anti-Semitic incitement and global terror ties.

Al Qaeda’s Abu Hudhayfah al-Sudani has resurfaced, urging a new generation of Sudanese youth to join global jihad. His calls for martyrdom and guerrilla warfare mirror the ideology behind Hamas’s October 7th massacre.

At the same time, Daesh (ISIS) fighters are exploiting Sudan’s chaos to launder money, move weapons, and target maritime chokepoints near Israeli shipping lanes. The Red Sea, crucial for global commerce and Israeli security, is now within their sights. (JPost/VFI News)
