Northern Command Chief: IDF Ready on All Fronts if US Attack on Iran Sparks Retaliation

IDF Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo said Israel is preparing for the possibility that a US strike on Iran could trigger retaliation affecting Israel, emphasizing heightened alert and readiness for both defensive and offensive responses. He added that Israel is watching closely in case Hezbollah joins any wider confrontation.

The comments came as the United States moved additional naval assets toward the region and as Israeli aviation authorities reportedly warned foreign airlines of a “more sensitive period.” The overall picture is one of careful deterrence coupled with contingency planning across multiple fronts.

Commanders in the North have reviewed civil-defense guidelines and coordinated with local authorities to ensure communities remain prepared. Israel continues to refine operational plans in coordination with allies as the situation evolves.
