Ezekiel 38 Is Happening Now — Saudi Arabia, Turkey & Pakistan Unite

Ezekiel 38 is no longer just a future warning — a new military alliance between Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan signed in Mecca this week mirrors the prophecy almost exactly. Here's what it means.

This week on VFI News, we're covering four major stories that are moving fast — and all of them point in the same direction.

In Michigan, an anti-Israel candidate with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood has won the Democratic Senate nomination — and the implications for 2028 and 2032 may be bigger than most people realise. We explain why.

In Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan just signed a mutual defence pact that includes an Article 5-style clause — meaning an attack on one is treated as an attack on all. Turkey's central role in this alliance is significant for students of Ezekiel 38-39, and Pakistan's Defence Minister has already called for the entire Muslim world to unite against Israel.

Meanwhile, Iran is refusing to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, has received hundreds of Chinese anti-aircraft missiles, and is actively cyberattacking US infrastructure — even as Hamas quietly prepares for the next round of fighting while pressure mounts on Israel to accept another so-called peace deal.

These stories aren't isolated. They're connected — and scripture has described this convergence for thousands of years.

If this report was helpful, please share it with someone who needs to understand what's happening in the Middle East right now.

IDF Eliminates Hamas Commander Who Invaded Israel on October 7 in Targeted Gaza Strike

The IDF and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) killed Hamas commander Jamal Mahmoud Abu Kamil in a targeted strike in Gaza City on Thursday, August 13, the military announced. Abu Kamil was among the terrorists who invaded Israeli territory during the October 7, 2023, massacre, and he continued to work toward the goal of harming Israeli soldiers and civilians over the past three years.

The Israeli Air Force on Thursday also struck a terror cell in Khan Yunis, the second “attack of choice” in two days, following a pause in such operations since a new US-Hamas deal was reached in late July. Military sources said the cell was not especially senior, but it was in the process of planning an operation against IDF forces and was moving to carry it out shortly.

Since the deal took effect, the IDF has held back from striking Hamas members who took part in the October 7 invasion, as well as other strategic Hamas assets and leaders. At the same time, the military continues to carry out attacks against operatives it knows are advancing toward an attack, acting to remove threats to its forces before they can strike.

“Dear Lord, we thank You for protecting our soldiers and for granting them success in removing those who seek our destruction. We pray in Yeshua's Name that You continue to guide our defense forces with precision and wisdom, and that every terrorist who plotted evil against Your people will be brought to justice. Please shield our troops from all harm and grant our leaders discernment as they act to keep Israel safe.”

Liberman: 50 Hamas Nukhba Terrorists Trained to Raid an Israeli Community

IDF forces identified a training exercise held in the Gaza Strip earlier in the week by approximately 50 terrorists from Hamas' elite Nukhba force, in which the terrorists practiced raiding and taking over a Jewish community, Yisrael Beytenu chairman MK Avigdor Liberman revealed on Wednesday, August 12.

Israeli media reported on Tuesday night, August 11, that the IDF had identified unusual terrorist activity that raised concerns the operatives were preparing to cross the Yellow Line. The military raised its alert level and rushed forces to the fence in response. Liberman said that IDF commanders in the field requested permission to act against the terrorists, but that the political echelon ordered them not to attack.

“IDF commanders in the field requested immediate action to carry out a targeted elimination of all the terrorists,” Liberman stated, adding that the instruction handed down was: “You don't touch a single one of them. You don't even fire a single blank.” He warned that such restraint amounts to “surrender to terrorism and a return to the policy of containment and the conception that led to October 7.”

“Our Heavenly Father, we lift up the communities near the Gaza border and ask You to be a wall of fire around them. We pray in Yeshua's Name that You keep our defenders alert at all times, expose every scheme of the enemy before it can be carried out, and grant our leaders wisdom and courage to act decisively against those who plot our harm. Please don’t let terror ever again reach our homes.”

Middle East Officials Urged Neighboring State to Sign a Deal with Israel as Cover for a Future War

Officials from one Middle Eastern country advised another regional state to pursue an agreement with Israel in order to “lull it to sleep” while preparing for a larger confrontation, a report cleared for publication by the IDF military censor revealed on Monday, August 10.

The officials told their counterparts during talks in recent months that they should demonstrate tactical flexibility toward Israel and work toward reaching an agreement. The proposal, however, was not intended as a path toward lasting reconciliation. Instead, the officials advised the other country to use the quiet period created by an agreement to prepare for a future war against Israel.

The officials suggested reaching an agreement with Israel with the intention of later violating it, while simultaneously preparing for a larger military confrontation. The identities of the two countries involved have not been disclosed.

Trump Rejects Iran's War Reparations Demand and Issues His Own

US President Donald Trump on Monday, August 10, responded to Iran's latest demands for compensation from the US, declaring that he is likewise seeking compensation from Tehran for Americans killed and wounded in conflicts involving Iran. “I see that Representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran are asking for compensation for the damage done to them during the last five month Military Conflict (started because, THEY WILL NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON), even though it was never mentioned in any of our negotiations or meetings!” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

Trump said he had instructed his representatives to include his demand for compensation in “any, and all, future negotiations.” The Iranian demands were presented on Saturday, August 8, by Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, as discussions continue over reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement carried by Iranian state media, Zolghadr said the US must lift its naval embargo on Iranian ports, end economic sanctions, and provide war reparations to Tehran. Trump rejected the Iranian demand outright and outlined his own claims against the regime instead.

Colombia Becomes Second Country to Recognize Israeli Sovereignty Over the Golan Heights

Colombia has recognized Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights, the country's Foreign Ministry announced on Monday, August 10. In a statement released on social media, the ministry stated that it recognizes Israeli control over the area as “an essential component of its national defense and its ability to protect and safeguard its citizens.”

The recognition resulted from a commitment made by both Israel and Colombia on Saturday, August 8, the ministry said. With its declaration, Bogota became only the second UN member state to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the territory captured from Syria in 1967 and effectively annexed by Israel in 1981, after the United States extended its own recognition in 2019 during US President Donald Trump's first term in office.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar thanked Colombian President de la Espriella for the move and Colombian Foreign Minister Omar Bola Escobar for his cooperation on the matter. “Israel is a small country without strategic depth. Defensible borders are essential to ensure the continued existence of the Jewish people in their historic homeland,” Sa'ar wrote, pledging to continue working to see more countries join the United States and Colombia in recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan, to which Israeli law was extended 45 years ago.

Israel Sends 80-Person Rescue Delegation to Earthquake-Stricken Colombia

Israel's aid delegation to Colombia, dubbed the “Alliance of Friends,” took off on Thursday night, August 13, to assist in the aftermath of the country's devastating earthquake, the Home Front Command announced. The delegation departed from the Nevatim Airbase and immediately began a rescue and assistance mission upon its arrival.

The 80-person delegation includes representatives from the IDF, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Home Front Command Maj.-Gen. On Wednesday night, August 12, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that an aid delegation would be sent to Colombia, after Colombian President de la Espriella requested that Israel do so. The mission left Israel within a day of that request.

Man Threatens to Shoot Australian Jewish Tourists in French Supermarket, Invoking Hitler

An Irish man in France told an Australian Jewish couple inside a supermarket in Avignon on Tuesday, August 11, that he was sorry “Hitler didn't finish the job,” before threatening to put a bullet in their heads. Footage of the incident circulated widely across social media platforms, and the Australian Jewish Association (AJA) shared the video, noting that the couple are friends of the organization.

The couple, who were vacationing in France, contacted the AJA shortly after the incident occurred and provided the organization with an account of the exchange. The man first approached them because the husband was wearing a French soccer shirt, and, hearing the pair chatting in English, bantered about why an Englishman would wear a French jersey. The husband answered in a friendly style that he is Australian, liked the shirt, and was happy to wear it while traveling around France, and the two sides gave their names and shook hands before the conversation moved on to soccer and then to Ireland's hostility toward Israel.

The AJA stated that the conversation “took a turn” when the man found out that the couple was Jewish. “He told them he was sorry that Hitler didn't finish the job,” the organization said. The couple has since been in contact with a French Jewish security group.

Please move the authorities to act swiftly and decisively against all who threaten Your people, and surround Your children everywhere with Your shield of protection.”

Rare First Temple-Period Mold Discovered Beneath Jerusalem's Tower of David

A rare mold used for casting the face of a female figurine, dating to the First Temple period, was discovered during archaeological excavations conducted by the Israel Antiquities Authority at the Kishle, within the grounds of the Tower of David Jerusalem Museum, in an announcement made on Monday, July 27. It is the first known mold for producing such figurines ever found in Jerusalem, offering direct evidence that the artifacts were manufactured in the city nearly 2,600 years ago.

The excavations are part of the construction of the museum's new Schulich Wing for Archaeology, Art and Innovation, which will showcase the site's unique heritage through archaeology, contemporary art, and innovation. “The mold was discovered while sifting soil removed from fills and accumulations dating to the First Temple period,” excavation directors Dr. Amit Re'em and Dr. Ayala Zilberstein explained, describing the Kishle dig as one of the most significant archaeological excavations conducted in Jerusalem in recent decades, presenting the city's history in a clear and continuous sequence from the days of the Kings of Judah through the many periods that shaped Jerusalem, up to the British Mandate.

Following its discovery, the mold was transferred to Tamar Gonen, a ceramics conservation and restoration specialist at the Israel Antiquities Authority, who carefully cleaned away every grain of soil and revealed the finely crafted facial features impressed within it. A cast was then produced from the mold, yielding a full reconstruction of the face of a female figurine with clearly defined features and an elaborate curly hairstyle.
